Switching from WinRBM

The modern WinRBM for Bepfe tracks

Many clubs have run WinRBM for years. SlotDash is the modern alternative and replaces it 1:1: the same settings, options and race modes, on the same Bepfe impulse electronics, in a modern design and for Windows 10 and 11.

What stays the same as in WinRBM

  • All settings and options — nothing you know from WinRBM is missing
  • All race modes: single, series, team series, head-to-head and qualifying runs, plus practice and timed practice
  • Lap timing straight from the Bepfe electronics' impulse signal, 2 to 8 lanes
  • Control of track power and start lights

What SlotDash adds

Live dashboard

Lap times, best time, last lap and gaps live — for a monitor or projector.

Start lights with random GO

Five red lights, then GO after a random hold of 2 to 5 seconds.

Automatic false-start penalty

Anyone who drives into the countdown loses track power at once — the standing time is built into the lap time.

Chaos mode & finish per lane

One button freezes the race; after the chequered flag each lane is cut individually.

Fully offline, no installation

Download, double-click, start racing. The licence can be activated offline too.

Manual and interface in five languages

German, English, Italian, Spanish and French.

Crash-proof resume

After a crash or power cut the race continues exactly where it stopped.

Driver changes & stints

In team races drivers change on the fly — with stint times and team standings per driver.

Which hardware?

Any slot car track with Bepfe impulse electronics, from 2 to 8 lanes. No track at hand? The built-in simulator lets you try SlotDash without one.

WinRBM replacement for Windows 11

A new race PC comes with Windows 11 today. SlotDash is built for current systems: it runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit recommended), with no installation and no admin rights, even straight from a USB stick. The interface runs in Edge, Chrome or Firefox; the Bepfe box is usually connected through a USB-to-serial adapter.

How to switch

  1. 1Download the free training version — try it on a real Bepfe box or with the simulator, no time limit.
  2. 2Buy the full version: 29 CHF (or 31 EUR / 35 USD), one-time, no subscription, all updates included. Payment by bank transfer.
  3. 3Enter the licence code in SlotDash under Settings → Licence, or put slotdash.lic next to the EXE. Everything you set up in the trial version is kept.

Questions about switching

Can I keep using my Bepfe electronics?

Yes. SlotDash works with the same Bepfe impulse electronics as WinRBM, from 2 to 8 lanes. The box stays on the same connection; SlotDash searches all COM ports for it automatically. No new hardware is needed.

I need WinRBM on a new Windows 11 PC — what can I do?

SlotDash runs on Windows 10 and 11 with no installation. Copy the training trial to the new PC, connect the Bepfe box (usually through a USB-to-serial adapter with its driver installed) and start racing. The full version then unlocks races, results and management.

Can I try SlotDash alongside WinRBM?

Yes. SlotDash needs no installation and changes nothing in WinRBM. The two just cannot run at the same time, because only one program at a time can use the Bepfe box on the COM port. Without a track you can also test SlotDash with the built-in simulator.

Is SlotDash the official successor to WinRBM?

No. SlotDash is independent software by MaVaLab and has no official connection to Bepfe or WinRBM. Functionally, however, SlotDash is built as a successor: all the settings, options and race modes of WinRBM, on the same Bepfe electronics.

Can I import my WinRBM database?

There is currently no automatic import of WinRBM data. You set up drivers, cars, tracks and classes in SlotDash once; the Bepfe electronics and wiring stay as they are. SlotDash builds up best laps and records automatically from the first race night.
